Whew, finally finished in time! An AU I had in my head for a long time, I think it fits very well the characters of DGM. Largely inspired by Jormungand and its opening song 'Borderland'.
The Roaring Twenties, an era of prosperity, culture and corruption. In the shadow of London's opulence lies the Noah Clan, the most influential mafia family in Britain, run by the notorious 'Millenium Earl', a man of great cunning and ruthless determination. He dotes on each of his nephews and nieces, each commanding a branch of the family, but none more than his own sons, Mana and Neah. Seeing great potential in the younger twin, he appoints Neah the heir of the Noah Clan.
However, seeing first hand the corruption and cruelty of his father, he rebels and flees the clan to Germany, taking his brother with him for protection. There, he meets Cross Marian, a surviving soldier of the first world war, whom he befriends for life. He also introduced to Tobias Walker, a former British espionage agent and black-market arms dealer, and his infant son, Allen. Together, they form their own mafia family and travel back to London to begin their vendetta against the Noah Clan - hoping to one day amass a rival mafia powerful enough to overthrow them.
From the left:
Toby (past!Allen): A former British spy and arms dealer, Tobias uses his extensive intelligence network to aid Neah and provide the family with weapons. He has a sly and mischevious personality, and has no qualms about using others to his advantage. With his experience with epsionage and stealth, he also acts as Neah's best hitman, and is often sent on missions to assassinate or interrogate targets.
Mana Campbell: The elder twin of Neah, he carries himself as a very gentle and compassionate person, but is in fact as intelligent and skilled as Neah, and often takes command in times that he is unavailable. Taking pity on Allen for his lack of fatherly affection, he opts to raise him and give him the attention he needs.
Allen Walker: Toby's young son, who's mother died in childbirth. With his father working constantly in mafia, either smuggling weapons or taking on assassination jobs, he is left with very little time with his father, and feels very distant. As he grows into a teenager, he begins to dislike the mafia, continuing to have a difficult relationship with his father due to his violent job, and disagrees with Neah's methods. He feels the most comfortable around Mana, but feels he cannot discredit the family around Neah's brother. He most often talks about his doubts with Cross, whom he feels does not judge him and will keep their discussions secret.
Neah Campbell: The rebellious son of Adam and leader of his rogue mafia family, Neah depised his father's way of doing things and refused to take over the Noah clan, preferring to make his own path in life.
Cross Marian: A survivor of the first world war after being conscripted into the army at eighteen. He lost sight in his right eye due to gunshot wound, and was left with bad scarring that he covers with his hair. Although skilled with guns, he prefers to use his intelligent mind for strategising behind the scenes. He also acts as Allen's tutor, and develops a close relationship with him.
Adam 'Millenium Earl' Campbell: Neah and Mana's biological father, head of the Noah mafia family. Merciless, sly, and borderline insane, it is Neah's goal to overthrow him from power.
Car: Official transport for Neah. Cross doesn't trust him to drive his baby, so he often acts as a chauffeur.
